Beautiful Ruby is a young female Shepherd cross pup with an estimated date of birth of June 9, 2024.

Ruby was an unowned stray from a northern community who had suffered some serious trauma causing a fractured pelvis and injuries to her face and jaw.

Under the direction of our terrific veterinary team, Ruby was placed on strict crate rest & medication to manage her pain while she recovered. After several weeks and multiple check-ups, Ruby's pelvis has completely healed. Her jaw has also fully healed however she still has a bit of a misalignment (evident in the photos). As she finishes growing, this may or may not change. But she suffers no pain or difficulty eating.

In spite of the suffering this lovely girl has experienced, she is a sweet & happy pup, grateful for regular meals and a loving foster home.

She loves to play with her four-legged foster family. And she is currently enrolled in Beginners classes where she is learning many new things.
