Beautiful Stella is a 6 year old female German Shepherd. Stella delivered 9 beautiful babies on October 5th but unfortunately only 5 survived. The five surviving pups all did well and have all now joined their forever families. Stella came to us from a rural community. She has had multiple litters over her life and, after losing her last two litters, her family reached out to us to help her. The pups she delivered to us will be her last puppies ever! Stella is suffering with terrible long-term ear infections which have closed her ear canals with swollen tissue (Stenosis) and we were unable to begin treatment until after her pups were fully weaned. The treatments that she is continuing to receive have worked very well and we are hopeful that surgery will not be necessary. As well as her ears, poor Stella was diagnosed with Heartworm Disease, Lyme Disease and Anaplasmosis and she is currently receiving treatments for these as well. In spite of everything, Stella is one of the sweetest and most gentle of dogs. Good with everyone & everything, Stella will eventually make someone a wonderful forever best friend.
