MASR DOGS IN NEED OF FOSTERS!
MASR gets inquiries daily about people needing to re-home their dogs. We wouldn't be able to do any of this without the dedication and help of our fosters. Fosters make all the difference to our dogs, fostering costs you nothing, we provide the food, the kennel, the vetting for the dog, even the toys.
We work hard to pair you with a dog that fits your family and lifestyle. Please keep in mind that none of these dogs are perfect. Many of them come from less than ideal circumstances, and have been very stressed. They make take a few days maybe even a couple of weeks to unwind, and relax due lack of any stable living situation. At MASR we offer many resources to help you introduce your foster dog to your current dog in addition to many training resources. We also have a trainer who is dedicated to help solve any issues you may face regarding your foster dog.
Please consider opening up your home to a foster dog. Many of these dogs just need a kind and stable living situation to help them find their forever homes and to be able to show people what wonderful dogs they can be. We wonder how many people actually realize the sad reality for the dogs that we (and others) are unable to help because we have a shortage of committed foster homes.
Do people even realize (or care) that the poor dogs oftentimes suffer an untimely end? I am not sure but what I AM sure of is the tears we all shed, the frustrations we all feel, the heartache we all experience when a dog we are trying to help is 'gone'.
"Sorry, he ran away",
"Sorry, he was hit by a car",
"Sorry, he was shot",
"Sorry, he was killed by other dogs",
"Sorry, he was euthanized"....
Why must this continue to happen? Why do we and other equally dedicated people have to continue to experience this heartbreak? Many of us have devoted our lives to making a difference for animals in need. And we have found joy in knowing the difference that we have made and continue to make. But we can ONLY help deserving dogs when we have equally committed foster homes!
